Mike Baur is co-founder and executive chairman of Swiss Startup Factory. Mike Baur’s responsibility as the executive chairman is to organize fundraising and funding initiatives for the Swiss Startup Factory. Having served in the banking sector for more than 20 years, Mike Baur has amassed massive experience in financial matters. SSUF runs a three-month accelerator program in Zurich for mentoring entrants entrepreneurs. New entrepreneurs are taught how to market a product in 3 months, provided with one-one training sessions, get to listen to experts advice and expert pitch training, showed how to create a good working environment, and finally how to build a beneficial network of investors and entrepreneurs. The accelerator program has two sessions every year. The first yearly sessions begin in February, and the other one starts in September.


Swiss Startup Factory opened doors in 2014 as a Zurich based startup accelerator. Swiss startup specializes in thriving digital business ideas that can be nurtured and developed into ideas worth millions of dollars. Swiss startup Factory has a widespread network all over Switzerland and the globe at large. Through the three-month accelerator program, entrepreneurs who undergo training get to enjoy unique services such as coaching, mentoring, given an office space to execute their business plans and introduction to business networks that will help them achieve their goals.


In his banking career, Mike Baur worked for two private banks namely; Union Bank of Switzerland (UBS) and Clariden Leu. Mike left the banking sector so that he could concentrate on implementing his ideas of investment in startup companies. Mike Baur started Swiss Startup Factory along with other two; Oliver Walzer and Max Meister. Mike Baur has participated in numerous startups pitching forums. A classic case is the START Summitter held at the University of Galen. Mike Baur was the part of the jury that assessed the ideas presented.


In 2016 Mike Baur partnered with CTI and was appointed the deputy managing director of the tech firm. He has also partnered with other business organizations such as Goldbach Group and Fintech Fusion. In the same year, 2016, Mike Baur was featured by the Wall Street Journal for his exemplary work and contribution in boosting startup companies. The Wall Street Journal featured his life from the time he was in the banking sector to now when he is revolutionizing the startup companies business. In the short period that Mike Baur has been in the industry, he has achieved a lot, going global in less than three months since starting the firm.
