Hussain Sajwani has created a successful career for himself as a leading businessperson in the United Arab Emirates with a growing global reputation as he takes his luxury real estate company to the international stage. Although he has been one of the leading businesspeople in the UAE for more than three decades spanning a range of different industrial sectors, Hussain Sajwani has made sure to give back to the community on a regular basis and plays a key role in the recently announced One Million Arab Coders initiative.
The early career of Hussain Sajwani saw him follow many of his peers into the oil and gas exploration industry; after receiving his degree at the University of Washington, the DAMAC owner returned to the Abu Dhabi Oil and Gas Company where he worked in the financial department until noticing a lack of food services companies willing to offer meals to workers on site. After forming his own company initially focused on providing food services to the oil and gas industry, Sajwani quickly found his successful company was in demand with military agencies and many industrial sectors and remains an integral part of the DAMAC family.
Despite the global nature of the DAMAC empire which has seen the Hussain Sajwani family look to develop real estate opportunities in various countries across the planet including the U.K. and Qatar, the group has never lost sight of its history and roots in the UAE and continues to play a major role in its community. DAMAC has recently become a leading sponsor of the One Million Arab Coders program launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum which plans to provide educational and job seeking opportunities to one million young people in the Middle East each year. DAMAC Properties has provided funding for the initiative which should allow young people in the UAE and beyond to begin or further their career in coding and Web development.
